Surrounded by the wild and strikingly majestic nature of Finse, lies a beautiful cabin; Steinboligen. Futuristic and clean, with that quintisential Norwegian atmosphere, it was the perfect location for our winter photoshoot.
Steinboligen is both the oldest and newest building in Finse, refurbished in 2009, by Alliance Arkitekter with Snøhetta. Large panoramic windows have been cut out in the south facade with the fantastic view across the Finse lake towards the Hardangerjøkul glacier.
With a little help from some natural Nordic light, veteren photographer - Virre Dahl - was able to capture a selection of stunning images while on location; which can be seen in D2 today.
Working alongside Virre, our lovely stylist - Kristin Sollid - was on hand to create model perfection, down to the last strand of hair. Working with a selection of our new garments (beautifully imagined by the designer, Tove Grane), Kristin truely brought a touch of finesse to proceedings.
Model, gorgeous Georgious Kampourakis, reminisced of days squid wrestling in Greece. Although technically just another day at work, conversation and jokes were flowing freely!
A view on every corner: Steinboligen's stunning glass providing spectacular views throughout the day.
One of our amazing models, Julian, set and ready to bring joy and enthusiasm to the shoot as always.
We had a lovely, fun and inspring weekend in Finse, and are so thankful that we got to use Steinboligen as our location. Many thanks to all those involved, photographically skilled, stylistically willed and just plain old good looking.
